Grenache/Garnacha
Grenache—or Garnacha, as it is known in Spain—is one of the world’s great chameleons. Believed to have originated in Aragón, it has spread across Europe and beyond, producing everything from powerful reds to pale, refreshing rosés. Once the most widely planted black grape in the world, it remains a cornerstone of Mediterranean winemaking, prized for its generosity of fruit, warmth and adaptability.
