The beautiful, organic Châteauneuf-du-Pape has a fabulous aroma of wild strawberries; concentrated and sweet with a light edge of vanilla spice and a touch of mint. It initially evokes strawberry coulis but becomes restrained, the flavours transforming into a savoury, dry finish with a touch of sage. The tannins behave like tiny ball bearings – this is a deliciously succulent, gorgeous wine.

Not yet bottled, the 2020 Châteauneuf Du Pape offers a rich, full-bodied, concentrated, yet beautifully balanced style as well as the classic freshness and purity of the vintage. It has textbook notes of red and black berry fruits, violets, peppery garrigue, and orange blossom, with silky tannins and nicely integrated acidity.
