2023 Storm, Vrede, Pinot Noir, Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, South Africa

The first thing that strikes me is the wine’s very pale ruby hue-almost transparent yet far from lacking in depth or intrigue. Aromas of cherry, bramble fruit, and plum are complemented by delicate floral notes of dried rose petals and violet. The tannins are more pronounced than in the other cuvées yet remain harmoniously balanced with the wine’s vibrant fruit profile.
