2023 Chablis, Valmur, Grand Cru, Bessin-Tremblay, Burgundy

The Bessins have just over two hectares here, with the oldest part planted in 1947. In what is a very sunny site, the Bessins have made an incredibly mineral wine. Remarkably tight and focused, with just a hint of peach fruit, there is the sense of reserve and fluidity here. In time, this will fill out; for the moment it is tightly wound. The class and refinement are already in place, however.
