2022 Langhe Nebbiolo, Giovanni Rosso, Piedmont, Italy

The cantina augments the grapes not selected for the commune or cru wines with fruit from Roddino, which has white soils similar to Serralunga. Thus, this wine has the definable chalky, mineral character of the commune, whilst remaining accessible and juicy. The wine does receive six months in Slavonian botti, and this adds a silky sheen to the wine as well. The crunchy brightness of the vintage shines through.
