2022 Château d'Esclans, Rosé, Côtes de Provence

Château d’Esclans is best known for its flagship Whispering Angel Rosé, and – thanks to the estate’s expertise when it comes to rosé production – this is no less impressive. This rosé is a blend of Provence’s best-known grapes, including Grenache, Rolle, Merlot, Mourvèdre, Syrah and Tibouren. Designed to evoke the flavours of summer, it’s rich in classic red fruits like strawberry, cranberry and raspberry, alongside pleasant notes of pink grapefruit, white blossom and citrus. There’s a gentle creaminess here from partial oak ageing too. Pair this with a light salad or a classic Provençal ratatouille for a match made in heaven.
