2022 Brouilly, Reverdon, Château Thivin, Beaujolais

Château Thivin is one of Beaujolais’ oldest estates, dating back to 1383. Its vineyards cover some of the region’s finest terroirs, across the slopes of Mont Brouilly: an ancient, extinct volcano with gritty, granite soils. Reverdon is a sandier vineyard, ideal for older roots; all vines planted here average 45 years of age. Vibrant, fruity Gamay wines are Château Thivin’s calling card, and this is no exception: having been whole-bunch vinified, it has an abundance of floral, fruity aromas, and flavours of red fruit, peonies and spice.
