Chianti Classico

Chianti Classico is the historic heart of Chianti, a prestigious Tuscan DOCG spanning around 7,000 hectares between Florence and Siena. Vineyards rise from 150 to 500 metres into the Apennine foothills, producing two distinct styles of chianti wine: richer, fuller wines from sandy, alluvial soils at lower altitudes, and finer, more elegant expressions from higher vineyards rich in limestone and galestro.
