Sicily

Sicily is an ancient viticultural haven with a history that stretches back four thousand years. Since that time it has been colonised by the Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Normans, Spanish, Piedmontese, Svevi, British (only for the Marsala) and finally, in the 1860s, Italians. The locals are absorbing the best from each passing occupation, growing stronger and more astute with each wave.
