Champagne Veuve Clicquot, Brut

Philippe Clicquot-Muiron established Veuve Clicquot in 1772. It was, however, Phillipe’s daughter-in-law, Nicole-Barbe Clicquot, who really laid the foundations of the modern company. She was one of the great innovators of the region, and is the one who invented riddling in the early 19th century. With its famous yellow label, this non-vintage Champagne is recognised as Veuve’s flagship wine. It is a blend of around 50 cru villages, and reserve wines from different vintages. Showing fruit, finesse and style, this is a rich, classic Champagne with a yeasty bouquet that truly deserves its Grande Marque status.
