2023 Guidalberto, Tenuta San Guido, Tuscany, Italy

The 2023 Guidalberto from Tenuta San Guido showcases the vibrancy of the vintage. The nose brings plenty of concentrated red berry fruit, crushed flowers, licorice and Tuscan herbs. On the palate, there is a fuller profile, with good structure and quite persistent purplish fruit throughout. There is an abundant freshness here, with sprinklings of salinity on the finish that make this rather moreish. It’s a fine effort from San Guido, and a brilliant showcase of Bolgheri’s full potential in warmer vintages.
