Domaine Fourrier, based in Gevrey-Chambertin in Burgundy, has been run by Jean-Marie Fourrier since 1994 and is one of the village’s most fashionable names. The wines here are some of the most elegant in all of Gevrey-Chambertin, with a subtle and cool structure that allows spice and mineral flavours to take center stage. This Premier Cru was created from old vines, which bring svelte tannins and intense red fruit to the final blend, alongside some earthy pepperiness on the finish. The wine spent 18-20 months in old oak barrels.
