The domaine’s flagship wine is well situated, just beneath the Chapelot Premier Cru. The soil in this lower part has more clay and limestone. The team aged some of this in tank for the 2023 vintage, as not enough used barrels were available. The result is a wine with perhaps a little more tension, alongside good breadth.
