2022 Pouilly-Fuissé, Joseph Drouhin, Burgundy

Maison Joseph Drouhin has remained a family estate since 1880, and has been committed to the production of great Burgundy since its inception. It spans prestigious plots of land across the entire region. This Pouilly-Fuissé is grown on predominantly clay-limestone soils, which help create intense aromas in the final wine, as did the conditions of the 2022 vintage. This has a delicate floral fragrance to it, alongside spicier pastry notes thanks to a third of the wine being aged in oak. On the palate, these flavours persist, accompanied by generous notes of almond and ripe grape.
