2022 Opus One, Napa Valley, California, USA

Super intense and complex aromas of overt cassis, chocolate, blueberries, bell pepper, hints of red fruit, vanilla bean, roses and musk. Intense and flavours presented with rounded creaminess, with lovely weight of tannins, although soft, allowing early drinking but also extended cellaring. Flavours present themselves slowly, in a layered but purposeful way, culminating in a long and delightful finish. Overall, it is fresh and superbly balanced.
