Domaine Raymond Usseglio is a third-generation family operation, located in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It has been operating biodynamically since 2011. The focus here is on old-vine Grenache; the Girard has 85% Grenache in the blend, alongside 8% Mourvèdre and 7% Syrah. Unlike other Châteauneuf-du-Papes from the 2022 vintage, this keeps fruit flavours front and centre, rather than relying on winemaking to bring forward a creamier texture. With great energy and focus, the dark cherry and pepper flavours in this will evolve nicely.
