The Les Pruliers Premier Cru site has vines that average 50 years of age, giving a touch more roundness to the wines than others in the Domaine Henri Gouges range. Intense, robust and savoury, this has fine and pure red fruit, a gentle mineral core and almost talc-like tannins, with notes of black tea on the finish. This is an elegant wine; very delicate and neat, with a beautiful capacity for ageing.
