2021 Berry Bros. & Rudd St Emilion by Château Simard, Bordeaux

We’re delighted to work with Ch. Simard on our Own Selection St Emilion again this year. It is a blend of Merlot (50%) and Cabernet Franc (35%), with smaller proportions of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, giving subtle notes of sweet spice and violet on the nose. Red cherry and ripe raspberry notes are accompanied by soft tannins and bright acidity on the finish. There is a lovely delicacy and freshness to this wine which, being from a lighter vintage, is a delight to drink now.
