De Montille’s vines here are well situated, in a slight depression where the soil is deeper and more humid – a real benefit in warmer vintages. The nose has a pleasing gunflint reduction which carries through onto the palate. Concentrated, intense and focused, with a pure thread of acid, this is a complex wine with enormous potential. Drink 2026-2040.

Pale mid lemon, some bacon fat on the nose. There is plenty of volume on the palate, good acidity, some citrus notes too, complex, fairly detailed and persistent with a good mineral thread. Exemplary. 13.2% alcohol.
