Description

This well-sited parcel sits on the eastern side of the road, below the Premier Cru vineyard Champs Gains. The wine is spicy, rich and toasty, with excellent concentration for its level, and a pleasing, tangy finish. It was cropped at just over half the permitted yield. Drink 2024-2032.

This vineyard is now worked by horse because of the age of the vines. The low yield of 35 hl/ha explains the concentration of this excellent Chassagne-Montrachet. Pale colour with a light green tint. A delightful nose with a little almond paste behind some fresh white fruit. Extra weight of fruit here, with a lovely brisk acidity behind, much more depth of fruit here, and intelligent oaking. Very persistent.
