2019 Vosne-Romanée, Les Champs Perdrix, Domaine Bruno Clair, Burgundy

Bruno Clair created his eponymous estate in 1979, breaking away from his family estate, where he was the sixth generation of winemaker. Holdings here span most of Burgundy’s Côte d’Or; this wine comes from its Vosne-Romanée site, one of the most famous areas in the region. The wine spent 18-20 months in oak barrel, 30% of which were new on average. Ruby red, and with an intense nose of red fruits and spice, this should be held for at least five years before drinking.
