A decidedly earthy nose freely offers up ripe and very fresh red pinot aromas laced with underbrush and sauvage wisps. The sleek, punchy and beautifully well-detailed medium-bodied flavors display fine length on the mildly austere finale that flirts with rusticity. There is good power, and this firmly structured effort is going to need at least a decade of patience to open and will likely require 12 to 15 to be at full peak.
