2019 Barolo, Paolo Scavino, Piedmont, Italy

Paolo Scavino is a historic winery in Italy’s Barolo region. Founded in 1921, it is now run by Enrico Scavino, who has focused his efforts on demonstrating the differences that each of his sites can have on the Nebbiolo grape. The 2019 Barolo is rife with fresh rose aromas, alongside sliced strawberry and citrus; it’s full-bodied, with linear, tight tannins and a mineral-tinged finish.
