2019 Barolo, Le Brunate, Francesco Rinaldi & Figli, Piedmont, Italy

Francesco Rinaldi & Figli is one of the great names in Piedmont. Launched in 1870, it spans vineyards in Barolo, Castiglione Falletto and La Morra and produces traditional red wines that are ideal for prolonged ageing. The Barolo Brunate is grown across clay-limestone soils, which have helped bring forward elegant floral and delicate spice notes alongside classic cherry and wild herb notes. It was aged for three to four years in Slavonian oak before release. Pair with rich red meat and pasta dishes.
