2017 Brunello di Montalcino, Cerbaiona, Tuscany, Italy

A beautiful, airy nose reveals roses, red cherry, strawberry, lemon thyme, and liquorice. Firm and bright on the palate, the fresh and fruity inner perfume is tightly wound through the finish, long and penetrating, obviously unique. It needs a few years to flesh out, a faster-maturing vintage for this wine, but it should still be worth following.
