Like the Champ Gain there is trace of reduction that is just enough to mask the detail of the nose. By contrast there is good freshness and excellent complexity to the rich, round and solidly concentrated flavors that possess a taut muscularity before concluding in a noticeably dry, clean and impressively persistent finish. This will need a few years in bottle to further add more depth, but the underlying material appears to be up to the task.
