2013 Champagne Crété Chamberlin Quintile BdB Grand Cru Brut Nature
2013 Champagne Crété Chamberlin, Quintile, Blanc de Blancs, Grand Cru, Brut Nature
White • Medium Bodied • Chardonnay
Description
This outstanding Grand Cru Champagne is grown from the Les Azule vineyard, planted between 1963 and 1987. It lies on the border of Oger and Les Mesnil, in the heart of some of Champagne’s best terroir. Fermentation took place in Inox tanks, followed by 10 years spent on lees. 2013 was a cooler, classical year, which accelerates the thoroughbred chalk character of this stunning wine. The nose is filled with apricot, lemon pith and crushed oyster. The palate sings: chalk salinity is framed by ripe, yet bright fruits. This is a nuanced, terroir-driven Chardonnay.
