2012 Champagne Rare, Rosé Millésime, Brut

The Rare wines, created by Champagne Piper-Heidsieck, are truly unique prestige cuvées. These are only produced in exceptional vintages: while 2012 was a challenging and unpredictable year, a hot summer meant that grapes were able to ripen beautifully towards the end of the season. The Rosé is a blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir, and is full of bold red fruits, passionfruit and saline flavors. It’s complex, with wonderful texture and power, and will hold well for the next decade at least.
