Description

The Laroche family have extensive holdings in Fourchaume (with organic certification from 2022). This, their calling card, is a blend of parcels, mostly from L’Homme Mort. It has a spicy nose with lavender, toast and iodine notes. The palate is creamy, seductive and caressing, with a cashmere texture and a long, floral finish. It’s an elegant and come-hither Chablis.

From Fourchaume itself and Vaupulans. From tank, untouched since going into tank. Barely any reduction. Slightly more intensity and grassier in style, with good energy behind. Still cloudy in amphora, steelier behind though with the slatey nose which I associate with these vessels.
