Saint-Julien (St Julien) is the smallest of the Médoc’s “Big Four” communes, yet it is widely regarded as the most consistent. The appellation’s compact vineyard area of just over 700 hectares and its uniform gravel soils give St Julien wine a remarkably cohesive style.

In the heart of St-Julien, Château Léoville Barton crafts some of Bordeaux’s most thrilling wines — powerful yet poised, built to evolve for decades. This family-owned 2ème Cru Classé has been in Barton's hands since 1826 and is currently under the stewardship of Lilian and Damien Barton. The estate continues to produce Cabernet-driven classics that are powerful in youth yet reward decades of cellaring.
