2023 Meursault, Domaine Antoine Jobard, Burgundy
Description
Antoine has three hectares of village Meursault covering seven parcels: En La Barre, Meix Tavaux, Tillets, Les Chaumes, Les Corbins, Sous La Velle and Le Pré de Manche. He bottled these separately until 2020, when he decided to create this cuvée. This has a restrained nose of fresh fruit and delicate vanilla. The palate is shiny, luxurious and creamy, with beautiful nutmeg spice and good weight. The bright mineral finish counteracts any sense of heaviness.

Critics reviews
A green tint to the colour. Some crunch. A little more tension throughout the palate, apple fruit and good length. Working very well, with a very complete white fruit aftertaste.
Drink 2027 - 2032
The 2023 Meursault Village, a blend of seven lieux-dits, has a crisp and focused bouquet with fine mineralité and light mossy/undergrowth scents that emerge with time. The palate is very well balanced with a slightly tangy entry. There is plenty of energy here, remaining focused and poised with touches of apricot and peach skin toward the finish. This will be a very pretty Meursault Village, just like the 2022.
