Our Extra Ordinary Claret is a classic Bordeaux red wine from Graves, crafted from 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Cabernet Franc. Fermented traditionally in stainless steel and aged in oak for 12–15 months, it has a heady, rich, and slightly savoury character typical of Graves. Produced by Château Villa Bel-Air, owned by the Cazes family, this is a refined red wine from Bordeaux with elegance and depth.

Pair with roasted pork and grilled vegetable dishes.

It is a vigorous naturally high yielding grape that requires savage pruning - over-cropped Merlot-based wines are dilute and bland. It is also vital to pick at optimum ripeness as Merlot can quickly lose its varietal characteristics if harvested overripe.
