Description

From 80-year-old vines, this cuvée comes from special subsoils which results in millerandage. It is much more compact and complex compared to its counterparts, with the same waxy notes. There were just four-and-a-half barrels made.

Made exclusively from shot berries picked from vines that average 80 years of age.

Once again, firm reduction is all that can be discerned. Otherwise, the notably dense, if perhaps just a bit less energetic, flavours are at once opulent and mineral-driven while displaying outstanding length on the bone-dry but not really austere finale. This is very promising and a wine that should also amply reward mid-term cellaring.
