The wines we love: Our Own Selection
Let’s be honest; wine can feel overwhelming. That’s exactly why we created the Berry Bros. & Rudd Own Selection. It’s our handpicked range, designed to help you discover what you actually like, without all the fuss.
This is your fast track to the world’s most iconic wine regions. Some are familiar, some, you’ll be glad to meet for the first time. Each is crafted to showcase the classic style of its origin, giving you a genuine taste of what makes that place special.
How do we create our Own Selection? We team up with standout producers from each region, many of them household names. Then, we work with them to create wines that are approachable, exciting, and built to become your new favourites.
Champagne Mailly
What makes a truly great Champagne? Just ask Mailly, a 1929 Champagne House and B Corp based in the heart of the region. Mailly only produces Grand Cru Champagne – the highest rated sparkling wine possible from this famous area. It’s one of the only Champagne Houses to do so.
Mailly was founded by 24 winegrowing families, who came together for a fairer way to bring their wonderful wines to the world. Nearly a century later, their commitment and craftsmanship remain second to none.
The wine: Berry Bros. & Rudd Champagne by Mailly, Grand Brut, Champagne, France
Elegant, layered and complex, this is Champagne done right. With 75% Pinot Noir in the blend, expect floral aromatics alongside classic Champagne notes of brioche and bright citrus. It’s our go-to for celebrations or any night deserving of a little sparkle.
Au Bon Climat
The late Jim Clendenen was one of our American heroes. He helped put the Central Coast on the world wine map, creating Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays that blended Burgundian elegance with unmistakeable California charm.
These are a real blend of old and new: all the tradition and finesse of France, but with an unmistakeable American twist. Au Bon Climat remains a long-time favourite of ours, and working alongside them is a real joy.
The wine: Berry Bros. & Rudd Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir by Au Bon Climat, California, US
Fresh, bright and generous, you’ll find layers of sweet cherry, juicy raspberry and exotic spice, alongside a refreshing leafy note and a slight savoury edge. It’s a classic favourite of ours, and one of the best red wines in the selection.
Giovanni Rosso
Giovanni Rosso is a real family affair. Davide Rosso took over the reins from his father in the early 2000s, and has since become one of Barolo’s brightest stars. This is classic Italian winemaking: a combination of tradition, rustic style and timelessness, mixed with Davide’s own flamboyance and charm.
Giovanni Rosso is home to some truly traditional styles, which are some of our favourite wines from Italy. He has a number of small vineyards and crafts something different from each – using historic methods that ensure his wines exude all the class and sophistication of heritage bottles.
The wine: Berry Bros. & Rudd Barolo by Giovanni Rosso, Piedmont, Italy
This is Barolo at its best—classic, aromatic, and complex. A blend of grapes from three distinct vineyards, it layers rose petals, red cherry, and a hint of clove into one elegant, age-worthy red.
Château Lynch-Bages
Château Lynch-Bages is one of Bordeaux’s best-loved estates. Based in Pauillac—home to some of Bordeaux’s most powerful reds—this château produces wines that are bold, structured, and full of character.
What’s unique? Even in their youth, these wines are surprisingly approachable. But give them time, and you’ll unlock those deep, luxurious notes Bordeaux is famous for: rich flavours of mint, blackcurrant and cigar boxes. It’s truly irresistible.

Made from younger vines on the estate, this bottle is rich, ripe, and ready to impress. Think blackberry, blackcurrant, and warm spice—perfect alongside roast lamb, steak, or anything off the grill.
Domaine Sébastien Dampt
Sébastien Dampt comes from a dynasty of Chablis winemakers, but in 2007, he stepped out on his own, and never looked back. His wines are now some of the most exciting in the region: pure, vibrant, and unmistakably Chablis.
Sébastien’s wines bring together everything that good Chablis should have: freshness, fruit, steely characters and energy. These are some of the purest wines from Burgundy that we’ve found, and are ones that we’re delighted to work with, year after year.
The wine: Chablis, Domaine Sébastien Dampt, Burgundy, France
From vines 40 to 60 years old, this white has serious depth and brightness. Expect lemon, lime, crisp green apple, and a touch of creamy orchard fruit—all wrapped in a steely, refreshing finish. This is a total knockout with oysters, seafood, or a sunny afternoon.
